Singer Featherweight Serial # AJ 210644

This 1949 Singer Featherweight 221 makes a lovely stitch.

It comes with a tray style case in good condition (small cut on left top - see photos) and six original attachments (no box).  The decals are good.  There is a bit of dull finish at the top left of the machine by the presser foot pressure knob - see photos.  Typical pin scratches and a couple of small chips in the bed extension - see photo.

The left latch on the case tends to stick in the open position and must be manually pushed back into the closed position, but stays closed well.  Case is sound.

This machine has a Quilter's Mate bobbin case - NOT an original Simanco bobbin case.  While I am not a fan of the reproduction bobbin cases, this machine sews well with this bobbin case.
